Brown sugar is full of molasses which makes it brown and moist. Its grains are smaller than of regular, white sugar which makes it a perfect exfoliant. It is not too harsh on the skin, it is gentle and easily sloughs off dead skin cells. It smells great, warms the skin up, and leaves it smooth and luscious.

A body scrub entails using a granular substance mixed with a specific liquid with essential oils which will cleanse, exfoliate and hydrate by removing dead skin cells and moisturizing the skin. The primary base of the body scrub is usually Dead Sea salt, Epson salt, sugar, or baking soda generally mixed with massage oil, essential oils, honey, milk or milk-like product.

Homemade foot scrub recipes come with different ingredients. Each has to have an exfoliating agent: sea salt, brown sugar, Epsom salt, oatmeal. Each one also has to have a relaxing and soothing ingredient that calms the skin down and prevents any possible irritations.

Even slathering on layers of moisturizers may not adequately hydrate your skin. Infusing your skin with long-lasting moisture could be a matter of timing. For example, smoothing your skin with moisture-trapping humectants like jojoba oil while your skin is slightly wet helps your chosen moisturizer keep your skin hydrated longer.

Add one and a half cup of Epsom salt to the jar. Next, slowly pour in one cup of oil. Stir the mixture. Next mix in the glycerin. Feel free to adjust the level of oils and salt in your body scrub to suit your personal preferences.

Body scrubs are the answer to all you dry skin woes! Once you get that dry skin sloughed off, your moisturizer will work better. Not to mention it gets your circulation going and your skin will look brighter with that dull dry skin removed.

A little extra TLC and time in the bath can not only improve the look and health of your skin, it can also help to reduce stress and improve your overall health.

This a treatment that my clients love. The foot scrub is usually used at the end of the pedicure, but it can be applied while you're in the shower to get soft and attractive feet in a hurry. Simply take a handful or scrub, massage it all over the top and soles of your feet and rinse.

A carrier oil is what gives the scrub its lubrication quality. You can choose from grapeseed oil, sweet almond oil, or avocado oil. Each oil has its own properties, so research and experiment to see what is right for you.
